This is a announcement on the Facilities Safety Fair on Friday, October 12, from 9 am to 2 pm. The event is located on the Intramural Activity Field, across from the Physical Plant and the Greek Complex at the corner of Wells and Locust Streets (campus map).
Coordinated by OFS Training and Safety the event is directed at facilities and maintenance employees. It will feature a vendor booths with the latest in personal protective equipment, safety glasses, fall protection, shop safety, fire equipment and first aid kits. Eight safety and tool equipment suppliers will show their wares (see photos below) and there will be several semi-trailer units with safety shoes to try and buy.
An NM OSHA representative from Santa Fe office, will be there with information on their consultant program. EH&S will provide information and maps on the proposed Vehicle Access Control Policy for discussion. We will also have information on Recycling, Waste Battery Collection, Respiratory Protection and Training. The NMSU community is welcome to come and visit the booth tent from 9am to 2pm. Staff from Facilities and Services, Housing, Corbett, PanAm and those performing similar work in NMSU Academic departments are specifically invited. Supervisors and management are welcome too.
